Colonel Hugh Clark was born on May 6th, 1867 on a farm on the Tenth Concession north of Kincardine, Ontario. He was a schoolteacher, a newspaperman, Lieutenant Colonel in the 32nd Bruce Regiment, and both a Provincial and Federal politician.
